Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Bartender to join our upscale hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and extensive knowledge of beverage preparation and bar operations. As a Lead Bartender, you will oversee daily bar activities, ensure excellent guest experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role requires a professional with a passion for the food and beverage industry, particularly in higher end dining.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the bartending team to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
• Manage POS systems such as Toast POS system for order processing and cash handling
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area according to health regulations
• Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and ordering supplies
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on drink recipes, guest service, and POS operations
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and promote a welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service, restaurant, nightclub, or banquet environments with a focus on bartending or mixology
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours
• Demonstrated sales ability with a focus on upselling beverages and enhancing guest satisfaction
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and responsible alcohol service practices
• Prior experience in fine dining or hospitality settings is highly preferred
• Basic math skills including retail math for cash handling, billing, and inventory management
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment

We are a new restaurant who has recently received our liquor license. We are looking for a person who will help us get the bar up and running and become the head bartender.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $5.35 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
