Machine Operator

• Measure, mark, and cut foam blocks and sheets according to work orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Operate foam cutting equipment, including horizontal cutters, vertical cutters, band saws, and CNC or manual cutting machines.
• Inspect foam materials for defects, inconsistencies, or damage before and after cutting.
• Ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances are maintained to meet quality standards.
• Follow detailed instructions to minimize material waste and maximize efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory management and material handling as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and production staff to meet production targets.
• Previous experience as a foam cutter or in foam/mattress manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, and cutting specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to operate cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift and handle foam materials safely.

Domfoam Inc. (originally known as Dominion Foam Corp.) was founded in 1963 by a young entrepreneur, Saul Pomerantz. From its humble beginnings operating from a small garage, we have evolved into a major player in the Canadian flexible-foam industry.
In 1991, the company was sold to a group of outside investors. Its assets were re-purchased by the Pomerantz family in 2012, which is committed to maintaining the long-term success of the company.
We currently manufacture and fabricate a full line of polyurethane foam products primarily for use in the furniture and bedding industries. We also produce re-bonded foam for carpet underlay and other applications.
