Work hours:  PRN (As Needed) – Variable Hours

Here's What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency)
  • Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy
  • PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred.
  • One year of hospital phlebotomy experience with specimen processing preferred

What You Will Do

· This position will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing and limited outpatient services.

  • Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines
  • Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens
  • Follows established laboratory test procedures
  • Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
