Site Description:

London Health Sciences is a large multi-site healthcare organization serving patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, providing acute care, specialized medical services, and research facilities. The site includes patient care units, outpatient clinics, diagnostic and treatment areas, administrative offices, and public spaces. With continuous 24/7 operations and high volumes of patients and visitors, the hospital requires a consistently clean, safe, and accessible environment that supports patient care, infection control, and efficient day-to-day operations.

Position: Security Guard
Site: London Health Sciences Centre
Status: Full Time
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (20:00 - 05:30 hours)
Pay Rate: $18.35

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Posting Date: January 19th, 2026
Internal Closing Date: January 23rd, 2026
External Closing Date: January 31st, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on assigned shifts, you will work full time shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents.
  • You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents. 
  • You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.
  • In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.    

    • Requirements:  

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario   
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider  
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must   
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position 
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act  
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy 

    • Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
