OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversea and manage all hotel operations, ensuring optimal performance and seamless coordination across departments. The GM is responsible for maintaining operational excellence, maximizing profitability, enhancing customer satisfaction, and elevating the hotel's reputation and rankings within the market. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires full-time commitment, availability 7 days a week, and on-call responsiveness for emergencies or urgent issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide full oversight of daily operations across all departments including: Front Desk/Guest Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance, Sales, Marketing, Security, etc.
- Ensure departments are operating efficiently, aligned with best practices, and delivering consistent service excellence.
- Be available on-call for any emergency, urgent guest concern, or operational disruption
- Ensure immediate and effective response to issues, minimizing downtime and guest impact.
- Hire, train, supervise, and support department heads and key staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to ensure service standards are met and exceeded.
- Manage room inventory with precision to optimize availability and maximize revenue.
- Analyze market trends and implement dynamic pricing strategies to drive ADR and RevPAR.
- Oversee all booking channels to ensure rate parity and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure the highest standards of hospitality and guest service are delivered at all times.
- Monitor and respond to guest feedback from reviews, surveys, and social platforms.
- Proactively implement improvements based on feedback and operational assessments.
- Strive to elevate customer satisfaction scores and consistently improve online rankings (e.g., Google, TripAdvisor, OTA platforms).
- Lead and execute all sales and marketing efforts to increase visibility and occupancy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, and travel partners.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, digital advertising, and loyalty initiatives.
- Collaborate with third-party platforms (OTAs, GDS, social media) to enhance the hotel's reach and reputation.
- Identify and engage new business opportunities including group bookings, events, and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor daily revenues, manage operational budgets, and control expenses.
- Provide regular performance and financial reports to ownership.
- Identify and implement strategic improvements to drive profitability and long-term growth.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and safety standards.
- Lead routine property inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken where needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a hotel management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record in staff leadership, operational management, and guest satisfaction.
- Experience with revenue management, dynamic pricing, and OTA systems preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- OPTIONAL: Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
