We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance IT Support professional to provide remote and on-site technical assistance to clients across various industries. Duties
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and other network security measures such as Meraki and Cisco solutions.
- Manage computer systems and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and servers.
- Assist with computer management tasks such as software deployment using SCCM, GPO configuration, and system updates.
- Support network administration activities including LAN setup, TCP/IP configuration, DNS management, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Utilize help desk tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy to track incidents and manage support tickets efficiently.
- Conduct analysis of system logs and performance metrics to identify issues proactively.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their IT infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Document procedures and solutions clearly for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong background in desktop support, network administration, and help desk operations.
- Proficiency with operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.
- Hands-on experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, TCP connections, VLANs, and firewall configurations.
- Knowledge of enterprise tools like SCCM, GPO management, Active Directory, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, Meraki solutions.
- Strong communication skills for effective customer service delivery in remote or on-site settings.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues quickly and develop effective solutions.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Support Technician or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a freelance environment.
