The RoleWe are seeking a driven, licensed Life Insurance Agent to bridge the gap between our digital platform and our customers.
In this role, you are the "closer" and the "fixer." You will manage a pipeline of customers who have engaged with our B2B partners but require human assistance to finalize their protection. You will handle cases that fall outside our automated underwriting logic, making outbound calls to assist applicants and secure their coverage.
Simultaneously, you will act as a subject matter expert for our product teams, using your daily interactions to identify patterns and help us "teach" our AI systems to handle more complex scenarios.
Key Responsibilities- Outbound Assistance & Sales: Conduct proactive outbound calls to warm leads who have started an application via our partners but stalled or requested help. Your goal is to remove friction and close the policy.
- Complex Case Management: Manage the "fall-out" from our digital funnel. If a customer's needs are too complex for our automated system (e.g., specific medical history or high coverage amounts), you take over to broker the best solution.
- Partner & Customer Success: Work closely with the Customer Success Manager to ensure customers coming from our B2B partners receive a white-glove experience that reflects well on our brand and theirs.
- AI & Product Feedback: You are the "Human-in-the-Loop." Document why specific cases required human intervention and collaborate with engineering to improve our automated workflows.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales and support activities comply with state regulations and carrier guidelines.

- Licenses: Active Life & Health Insurance License (Required).
- Language Skills: English fluency is required. Spanish fluency is a major added bonus (we have a growing diverse customer base).
- Sales Drive: You are motivated by performance metrics and bonuses. You are not afraid to pick up the phone and dial.
- Hybrid Skill Set: You can switch instantly between "Sales Mode" (closing a deal) and "Support Mode" (empathetic problem solving).
- Tech Savvy: You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment using CRMs, Slack, and AI tools. You can spot a bug in a workflow and explain it to a developer.
- Adaptability: We are a startup. Procedures change, products evolve, and you need to be ready to pivot quickly.
Compensation range
- US: $50,000 - $80,000 gross annually*
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
- Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
