Material Handler Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient materials handling, order fulfillment, and inventory management within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts and cranes, and have a strong understanding of warehouse safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Prior warehouse or construction experience is highly valued, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
• Pick and fulfill orders
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage
• Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and inventory updates
• Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and best practices during all operations
• Support organization by stacking, storing, and retrieving materials in designated areas

Qualifications

• Proven experience in material handling of 30' - 60' + pieces
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery operation and maintenance
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly throughout shifts
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards for material handling and equipment operation
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency in all tasks

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 60.0 per week
