We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel engines and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, experience with various types of heavy equipment, and proficiency in diagnostics and repair of diesel engines.
*Responsibilities*
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related components on a variety of equipment including tractor-trailers, heavy equipment, and misc company assets.
* Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly to support repairs or modifications.
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or replace faulty parts.
* Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety standards are met.
* Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each piece of equipment.
* Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician
* Strong background in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical repairs involving transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, etc
* Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, tractors, trailers, etc
* Welding experience
* Knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in automotive repair is essential.
* Candidates should possess strong mechanical skills combined with the ability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
