Job Summary

The Repairs Estimator Coordinator is responsible for preparing accurate, compliant, and timely repair cost estimates for turbine engine components in support of the Director of Engines & Components Repair. This role provides the technical and financial backbone for sales and operations by ensuring estimates are based on approved data, validated vendor inputs, and regulatory compliance. The position is primarily back-end focused, with accountability for data accuracy, documentation integrity, and coordination across internal teams and external vendors.

By delivering precise and timely estimates, the Repairs Estimator Coordinator enables the Sales team to engage customers confidently while ensuring Global Turbine Services maintains its reputation for technical excellence, compliance, and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Estimate Preparation & Validation

  • Review customer work scopes, task cards, and technical data to prepare accurate estimates.
  • Develop estimates using OEM manuals, FAA-approved data, and validated labor standards.
  • Incorporate vendor repair quotes, turnaround times, and material costs into final estimates.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Quality, Operations) to verify repair feasibility.
  • Maintain complete records of vendor quotes, estimate revisions, and supporting documents.
  • Ensure all estimates align with FAA, EASA, and GTS Quality standards

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Guarantee accuracy and compliance of estimates with regulatory requirements and OEM standards.
  • Provide documentation suitable for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Track and resolve discrepancies between estimates, invoices, and final repair outcomes.

Reporting & Support

  • Maintain and update a centralized log of all estimates and their current status (submitted, pending, won, lost).
  • Deliver weekly reports to the Director of Engines & Components Repair summarizing estimate volumes, accuracy, and bottlenecks.
  • Provide data-driven feedback to improve repair competitiveness and turnaround time.

Key Deliverables

  • Accurate repair estimates produced within defined turnaround times for use by the sales team.
  • Weekly status reports to the Director of Engines and Components Repair of all estimates, vendor quotes, and conversion outcomes.
  • Maintained internal database of estimates, vendor quotes, and repair histories.
  • Verified compliance with FAA, EASA, and OEM manuals for all estimates.
  • Zero audit findings on compliance of estimate files or supporting documents.
  • Performance Measurement (KPIs)
  • Turnaround Time: 90% of standard repair estimates completed within ≤48 hours.
  • Estimate Accuracy: ≤5% variance between estimate and final invoice.
  • Compliance: Zero audit findings on estimates or supporting documents.
  • Vendor Responsiveness: Average subcontractor quote turnaround within 72 hours.
  • Conversion Support: ≥30% of estimates successfully converted to customer purchase orders (as indirect measure of estimate quality/support).

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in turbine engine MRO repair estimating, planning, or coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of CFM56,CF6, LEAP, or similar engine platforms.
  • Familiarity with FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRO software (e.g., Quantum, Ramco, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate technical data, vendor inputs, and costs.

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
