We are seeking an Experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our awesome team. We are looking for a caring, hardworking, reliable person who is dedicated to providing the best care possible to our patients and fostering our positive work environment. Duties:
Assist orthodontist in clinical procedures, including but not limited to the placement of braces and appliances, placing and removing wires, and taking patient records (X-rays, scans, impressions, photos)
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments, ensuring a clean and organized environment
Take and record patient medical histories
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
Follow aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and answering phone calls
Collaborate with the orthodontic team to ensure efficient and seamless patient experiences
Skills:
Proficiency in chairside assisting techniques and orthodontic procedures
Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, equipment, and materials
Experience in documentation and record keeping
Understanding of dental terminology related to orthodontics
Knowledge of imaging techniques used in orthodontics
Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients
Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards of infection control
