We are seeking an Experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our awesome team. We are looking for a caring, hardworking, reliable person who is dedicated to providing the best care possible to our patients and fostering our positive work environment. Duties:

  • Assist orthodontist in clinical procedures, including but not limited to the placement of braces and appliances, placing and removing wires, and taking patient records (X-rays, scans, impressions, photos)

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments, ensuring a clean and organized environment

  • Take and record patient medical histories

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes

  • Follow aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection

  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality

  • Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and answering phone calls

  • Collaborate with the orthodontic team to ensure efficient and seamless patient experiences

Skills:

  • Proficiency in chairside assisting techniques and orthodontic procedures

  • Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, equipment, and materials

  • Experience in documentation and record keeping

  • Understanding of dental terminology related to orthodontics

  • Knowledge of imaging techniques used in orthodontics

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients

  • Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards of infection control
