Full time multiple location Optometric Technician

We are looking for a Full Time Optometric Technician to work in our Superior, WI and Duluth, MN locations. This will be a hybrid travel position. Locations will include, but not limited to, West Duluth, Kenwood area and Superior, WI.

Monday to Friday consistent schedule

*Opportunity to work 1 four hr shift in our Kenwood location per month.

***On site training will be provided on location

Job Description:

Our Optometric Technicians work on our Digital Doctor days AND In house Doctor days in the Twin Ports area

The Optometric Technician will take the patient through all of the pre-testing equipment, including but not limited to:

Wide Field Retinal Camera

Ancillary Testing

Slit Lamp Video

Auto-refractor

NCT

Non Confrontational Visual Field

On Digital Doctor Days: The Optometric Technician will then take the patient to the Exam Lane and place the phoropter for the refraction part of testing and then introduce patient to the Digital Doctor.

When the exam is complete, the Optometric Technician will then bring the patient to the retail salesfloor where they will explain to the Optician what the findings are from the patient's exam.

On In House Doctor Days: The Optometric Technician will pass off the patient to the Doctor and will perform additional testing as listed above as requested by the Doctor.

Other duties will include/but not limited to:

Answering the phone/booking appointments.

Light cleaning as needed to close the store.

Processing incoming eyewear orders and notifying patients.

Dispensing of eyewear to patients.

Adjusting/repairs of eyewear.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ophthalmology and medical office experience
- Strong patient care skills and knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Experience with intake procedures and recording vital signs
- Familiarity with optical practices
- Knowledge of EMR systems
