Part Time Dental Sterilization Tech

We are seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) dedicated Part-Time Dental Sterilization Tech to join our busy dental practice. This role is essential in maintaining a sterile and organized environment, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the clinical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infection control protocols, dental sterilization procedures, and familiarity with dental software systems. Duties

• Properly sterilize and disinfect dental instruments using autoclaves and other sterilization equipment
• Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are ready for patient procedures
• Assist with maintaining infection control standards following OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Support clinical staff with chairside assisting as needed, including passing instruments and preparing materials
• Operate EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to update patient information and treatment notes
• Assist with X-ray procedures, taking vital signs, and other basic patient care tasks within scope of practice
• Maintain cleanliness of the sterilization area and clinical environment
• Follow HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
• Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures
• Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging, and medical documentation systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to maintain professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.0 per week
