Overview
We are seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) dedicated Part-Time Dental Sterilization Tech to join our busy dental practice. This role is essential in maintaining a sterile and organized environment, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the clinical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infection control protocols, dental sterilization procedures, and familiarity with dental software systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in dental assisting and clinic operations within a supportive team setting.

Duties

  • Properly sterilize and disinfect dental instruments using autoclaves and other sterilization equipment
  • Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are ready for patient procedures
  • Assist with maintaining infection control standards following OSHA and CDC guidelines
  • Support clinical staff with chairside assisting as needed, including passing instruments and preparing materials
  • Operate EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to update patient information and treatment notes
  • Assist with X-ray procedures, taking vital signs, and other basic patient care tasks within scope of practice
  • Maintain cleanliness of the sterilization area and clinical environment
  • Follow HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging, and medical documentation systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while working in a fast-paced environment

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting dental healthcare delivery while developing their skills in dental assisting, infection control, and clinic operations.

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.0 per week
