Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language pathology services to pediatric clients receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. This role focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, operation and treatment of communication disorders within an early intervention and developmental framework. The Speech-Language Pathologist will function as part of an interdisciplinary clinical team and contribute to the development of comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans that support functional communication outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations, including standardized and non-standardized assessments, for pediatric patients
- Diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication disorders in accordance with established clinical guidelines
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, evidence-based practice, and patient-specific goals
- Provide direct speech-language pathology services utilizing therapeutic interventions appropriate for developmental and behavioral presentations
- Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), behavior technicians, caregivers, and related healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and consistent care
- Integrate communication goals within ABA programming to promote generalization across clinical, home, and community environments
- Monitor patient response to treatment through ongoing data collection and clinical observation; adjust interventions as clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress reports, and treatment notes, in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Provide caregiver education regarding speech and language development, treatment rationale, and therapeutic strategies to support carryover outside of therapy sessions
Qualifications and Clinical Experience
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, with emphasis on early intervention and developmental disorders
- Prior experience collaborating within multidisciplinary or ABA-based clinical teams is strongly preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of speech and language development, articulation and phonological processes, pragmatics, and AAC principles
- Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and neurology relevant to speech, language, and swallowing functions
- Proficiency in pediatric speech and language assessment methodologies and interpretation of clinical data
- Ability to apply medical terminology appropriately within documentation and interdisciplinary communication
- Strong professional judgment, clinical reasoning, and commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
