Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Director to lead our organization's information technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, system administration, and software development, capable of guiding cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships. The IT Director will play a critical role in shaping our technology strategy, ensuring system security, and fostering innovation to support organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, virtualization platforms (e.g., vSphere), and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Manage enterprise systems such as ERP systems, databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB), and data warehouses.
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives including network security, firewall management, VPNs, DNS security, and compliance with standards such as NIST.
  • Ensure system availability through disaster recovery planning, business continuity strategies, and system redundancy.
  • Oversee software development projects utilizing technologies like Java, C#, .NET, PHP, Python, , React, Angular, CSS, HTML, APIs, and DevOps practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware/software procurement and service agreements while ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws.
  • Implement change management processes to support system upgrades and new technology deployments.
  • Lead IT governance efforts to ensure policies align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise IT staff including system administrators, network engineers, help desk personnel, and project managers.
  • Promote innovation through emerging technologies such as AI/ML solutions and machine learning applications.
  • Monitor IT budgets and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT leadership roles with a strong background in managing complex IT environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS & Azure), virtualization (vSphere), SAN storage solutions, MPLS networks, WAN/LAN management.
  • Expertise in network security protocols including VPNs, DNS management, firewalls; experience with network infrastructure design is essential.
  • Strong understanding of databases (SQL Server, Oracle), NoSQL (MongoDB), ETL processes, data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript (React & Angular), Python, Java, C#, PHP; familiarity with application development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity standards such as NIST; knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Familiarity with system administration across Linux/Unix environments; expertise in virtualization technologies like vSphere; experience with server management and Active Directory administration.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including automation tools; experience with APIs integration; understanding of network security best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams; excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and vendor negotiations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP or equivalent are preferred; familiarity with intellectual property law is a plus. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83, $99,997.02 per year
