Highly responsible administrative work coordinating and participating in the business operations and special projects assigned by the Aquatics Director. Provides technical support to the Director on matters pertaining to operations and planning. Coordinates and evaluates various projects and the associated coordination of resources, equipment, meetings, and information. Maintains and monitors project plans, project schedules, budgets, revenue, and expenditures. Coordinates contract renewals and amendments. Coordinates the establishment, measurement, and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Develops Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), bids, and agenda items for facility operations, capital projects, special events, and programs. Drafts contractual contract language, grant submittals, Policies and Procedures Memoranda (PPMs), and agreements. Oversees the Division's adherence to facility regulatory licenses, training, and employee certifications. Researches and compiles program trends and best practices to make recommendations on new programs and business practices. Work requires considerable independent judgment and initiative, which are exercised in conformance with standard operational procedures and established policies. Work is reviewed by an administrative superior and reviewed by conferences, reports, and results obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Parks/Recreation Administration, Natural Resources Management, Forestry, Business/Public Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field; minimum of five (5) years of project coordination experience, including experience developing, implementing, and monitoring park and recreation operations or special projects.
Equivalencies :
Unrelated Bachelor's Degree AND six (6) years of project coordination experience, including experience developing, implementing, and monitoring park and recreation operations or special projects
Associate's Degree AND seven (7) years of project coordination experience, including experience developing, implementing, and monitoring park and recreation operations or special projects
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification AND nine (9) years of project coordination experience, including experience developing, implementing, and monitoring park and recreation operations or special projects.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE : Developing and managing contracts; coordinating staff development and training; developing strategic and business plans; managing budgets.
