Patient Transporter/CNA

8am-4pm Full Time

• Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. Responsibilities:

• Safely transport residents to scheduled appointments, treatments, and community outings.
• Assist residents with transfers in and out of vehicles using proper body mechanics are required equipment (gait belt, wheelchair, lift etc.)
• Ensure residents are appropriately dressed, have necessary paperwork, and bring required medica l supplies
• Monitor residents during transport for signs of discomfort, distress, or changes in condition and report immediately to nursing staff.
• Maintain clear communication with the facility regarding departure, arrival, delays or concerns.
• Provide basic care and comfort measures during transport (positioning, hydration if appropriate, safety checks)
• Maintain a clean and safe transport vehicle and report any mechanical issues.
• Provide assistance on the unit when not transporting residents as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to facility-required weight
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate facility vehicles and assist with resident transfers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
