Build your career with West Liberty Foods and be a part of an exciting, collaborative team environment!/ppWe are currently hiring for:/ppstrongJob Title: Quality Assurance Technician/strong/ppstrongJob Summary:/strong Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting and monitoring processes and product to ensure that the quality of product is of the highest standard./ppstrongStarting wage is depending on experience at a minimum of $19.72 per hour plus $1.50 shift premium./strong/ppstrongPrimary Responsibilities:/strong/pulliComplete regular quality checks./liliInspect and monitor processes and product./liliConduct pre-op on the lines for cleanliness of equipment and surrounding area and complete pre-op documentation./liliConduct metal detector checks before start up./liliAudit process by using specifications./liliMonitor meat quality and complete AQL paperwork./liliMonitor code dates to assure proper dates are being used./liliMonitor packaging and labeling for quality issues./liliMonitor team members for Good Manufacturing Procedures./liliMonitor temperatures of products./liliConduct housekeeping checks./liliMonitor weight control checks./liliRetain product when needed, tag product, complete QA Hold Forms and document./liliAssist production with quality issues./liliCollect finished product for shelf life program./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongJob Requirements:/strong/pulliExperience in quality assurance is preferred./liliMust be able to read, write and speak English./liliMust be able to practice good personal hygiene./liliAbility to work in varying temperature conditions./liliWork extended hours, weekends and overtime if needed./liliExperience if food manufacturing or processing a plus./liliAbility to adjust quickly to changing demands./liliBasic computer skills using Google Suite./liliHACCP plan certification preferred./liliGood customer service skills are a must./liliMust be able to lift up to 40 pounds./liliCandidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical./li/ulpWest Liberty Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
