The role requires the vigorous pursuit of bid/spec business and will work closely with Engineers, Contractors, Wholesalers, and internal PVI Watts partners./ppThis position will be a part of a compact and nimble sales and marketing team which reports directly to the NY Sales Manager. The incumbent will ideally be based out of NYC or the surrounding area. The sales territory will cover assigned territory: NYC- Five boroughs, Rockland, Putnam, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties./ph3Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliTravel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and negotiate sales/liliPerform inside and outside sales activities to acquire new customers as well as project-based work for current customers/liliBuild and maintain customer relationships and be point of contact for current and potential customers/liliDemonstrate products to Engineers, Contractors and Wholesalers by way of samples, catalogues and PDH Approved Lunch and Learns/liliDevelop relationships with Facility Managers, Building
Business Owners, and other buyers using a consultative sales approach/liliPrepare marketing and sales reports and implement marketing projects/liliAttend trade shows and industry events as required to represent our products in the marketplace/liliComfortable facilitating or leading training sessions for groups of 15 to 20 attendees./liliAssume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Sr. Manager NY Sales or Company management./liliResponsibility directly tied to Watts Value Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, and Transparency/liliTravel Requirements:/liulliOvernight Travel: 10%/liliTerritory Travel: 90% (local travel)/li/ul/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliBachelors degree in business, and/or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or 4 plus years of equivalent work experience./liliProven ability to develop new business and close sales and proven business development skills and demeanor./liliExperience working in the Plumbing and HVAC Industry/liliTechnically oriented individual.
