We are seeking a motivated Junior Quality Engineer to take ownership of internal quality processes, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in manufacturing or automotive environments, who thrives in a collaborative setting and is eager to grow in quality engineering.
*Jr Quality Engineer:*
*Key Responsibilities:*
*1. Quality Systems & Software Implementation*
* Lead and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal quality issues.
* Perform root cause analysis on non-conformances and implement effective solutions.
* Support internal audits by preparing documentation, tracking findings, and ensuring timely closure of issues.
* Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and customer corrective actions (CARs).
* Drive shop floor quality initiatives to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall production efficiency.
* Maintain and improve quality documentation, procedures, and processes in line with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards.
* Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to leadership.
* Assist with training and coaching employees on quality standards and best practices.
*2. Product Launch & Production Support*
* Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management to ensure quality readiness for new product introductions.
* Support the development and approval of control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection standards.
* Participate in launch readiness reviews and PPAP processes.
*3. Quality Control & Compliance*
* Maintain and improve quality documentation and procedures in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or customer-specific requirements.
* Assist with internal audits, root cause analyses, and CAPA processes.
* Support metrics reporting and analysis of quality KPIs.
*4. Supplier Quality & Incoming Inspection*
* Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage and improve supplier quality performance.
* Support incoming goods inspections, audits, and incoming quality certifications.
* Coordinate with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
*Qualifications:*
* 2+ years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing or automotive industry.
* Experience with quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, PPAP, SPC, MSA).
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

*Bonus Skills:*
* Experience with supplier quality and audit processes.
* Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
