We are hiring an Order Picker for our Huntsville, Alabama facility. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items to fulfill customer orders, ensuring timely and correct shipments. You'll be a key player in our logistics operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction by maintaining the integrity and speed of our order fulfillment process.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse shelves using scanning equipment or pick lists.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas for packing and shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace according to established standards.
- Report any inventory issues or damages to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience, particularly in order picking, is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory management principles.
- Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
Requirements:
This position requires physical stamina, including regular lifting, bending, and reaching. A strong emphasis on safety is critical, and all team members are expected to follow strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE. Accurate and efficient order picking is fundamental to our logistics success. We seek individuals who are reliable, possess strong work ethics, and are committed to quality. Experience with lifting and handling merchandise is expected. A dedication to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues is essential.
