We are hiring a certified Forklift Operator for our Atlanta, Georgia facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in moving materials efficiently and safely throughout the warehouse, supporting our extensive **Logistics** network. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and maintaining organized storage. Adherence to all **Safety** regulations and operational procedures is paramount. This role requires a skilled operator with a strong focus on precision and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with accuracy and care.
- Transport goods between different warehouse zones, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Follow all established **Safety** protocols and company guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting and stock checks.
- Operate other material handling equipment as needed.
- Ensure all merchandise is handled properly to prevent damage.
- Wear mandatory PPE at all times while operating equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proven ability to handle significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Deep understanding of warehouse **Logistics** and inventory control.
- Strong commitment to workplace **Safety** and awareness of potential hazards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime.
