We are seeking a dependable Material Handler for our facility in Durham, North Carolina. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading shipments, operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, transporting goods to designated areas, and ensuring proper storage. A strong emphasis is placed on **Safety**, and all employees are required to follow strict protocols and wear appropriate **PPE**. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our **Logistics** operations. We are looking for individuals who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations.
- Stack and arrange materials properly in storage areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure operational **Safety**.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all company **Safety** policies and wear required **PPE**.
- Contribute to efficient warehouse **Logistics** through timely material handling.
- Perform **Lifting** and carrying of materials, up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant **Lifting** (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** regulations and **PPE** usage.
- Understanding of **Logistics** operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts if required.
