Join our team as a Receiving Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland, and play a key role in our supply chain and logistics operations. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. This includes unloading deliveries, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, and entering receiving data into our inventory system. Your meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to ensuring that our inventory is accurate and readily available. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and management to maintain smooth receiving operations. We are looking for a reliable individual with a strong work ethic who is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Prior experience in receiving, warehousing, or inventory control is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, and discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and route received goods to appropriate warehouse locations.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ensure the correct use and maintenance of all required PPE.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment. Strong data entry skills and proficiency with inventory management software are essential. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds regularly, is required. Must be able to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for this logistics role. Knowledge of safety procedures and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. Good communication skills are necessary for interacting with various stakeholders. High school diploma or equivalent is required. We are committed to providing a safe and efficient workplace.
