We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Denver, Colorado. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for various tasks including receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. A strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy is paramount. You will work collaboratively with a team to ensure that all materials are handled properly and that warehouse operations meet their targets. This is a hands-on position requiring physical stamina and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Stock materials in appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment accurately.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment for maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and material handling. Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods is required. Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE is essential. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for accuracy in this logistics role. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are necessary. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
