Join our team as a Material Handler in Washington, D.C.! We are looking for an industrious individual to support our warehouse operations by efficiently moving and managing materials. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks, to transport goods within the facility. This role requires physical stamina and a commitment to Safety, as you will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and retrieving items for orders. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential, and adherence to all safety guidelines is mandatory. The position involves frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs, so you must be physically capable of performing these tasks. You will work collaboratively with a team to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and maintain an organized and clean work environment. Understanding of basic warehouse procedures and a proactive approach to tasks are highly valued. - Operate material handling equipment to move goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Support the logistics team in various warehouse tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
