Our Raleigh, North Carolina distribution center is looking for an organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for transit. Your duties will include verifying shipping orders, selecting appropriate packaging, labeling shipments correctly, and coordinating with carriers. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential to maintain accuracy and efficiency in our shipping operations. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to guarantee timely dispatch of goods. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to fostering a safe and productive workplace. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify shipping details against orders and carrier manifests.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and ensure secure packing.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation correctly.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
This role may involve moderate lifting and requires adherence to safe lifting practices. Ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues is a top priority, and appropriate PPE must be used.
