JOB EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluent English is a plus, Basic English is required (Hablamos español)
• Proven experience as an electrician
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge in high voltage installations.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
• National Electric Code knowledge
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Spanish-speaking is a plus.
• Neat and professional appearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Read blueprints, understand construction drawings.
• Execute electrical work, at a quality exceeding the NEC standard. NEC is a minimum safety standard, not a quality standard.
• Delegating and checking work assigned to apprecticie-level technicians.
• Assures the availability of equipment, materials, and supplies at the job site to effieicntly complete a project.
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
• Execute layouts for electrical wiring for lighting, as well as electrical power systems.
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.

Setting Description:

• Commercial projects such as clubhouses, medical facilities, warehouses, and retail.
• Condominiums and apartments.
• Single-family homes.
• Projects with docks, marinas, golf courses, irrigation pumps, and backup generators.
