Certified Pharmacy Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients. Your expertise in pharmacy operations will be essential in ensuring patient safety and effective treatment outcomes.

Duties

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist in the management of medication inventory, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring expiration dates.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in critical care settings to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, utilizing medical terminology effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
• Interpreting, processing and filling prescriptions.

Skills To assist the pharmacist with the processing and filling of prescriptions with a friendly and positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician with a focus on medication administration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients alike.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing pharmacy tasks.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license issued by the California Board of Pharmacy.
• Customer Focused, Deadline-Oriented, Organized, Dependable, with Good Verbal Communication, Reading, Writing, and Basic Math Skills.
• Fluent speaking and writing in English. Fluent speaking in Spanish
• 1 year work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail pharmacy.
