Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide support to individuals in various care settings, including group homes, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong understanding of resident rights and patient care. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for residents, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence and facilitating social interactions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document daily activities and any changes in resident behavior or health status.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure they receive appropriate services and support.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and emotional well-being, particularly for those in memory care.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in group home settings, caregiving, or social work is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and patient care practices is essential.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and memory care strategies is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals with varying needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
