Position Summary

The Distribution Support Supervisor supports both corporate and field-based Supply Chain teams through direct supervision and operational leadership. This role manages field equipment requests, warehouse layout design, continuous improvement initiatives, third-party logistics operations, and key vendor relationships. It also contributes to the development of scalable, efficient supply chain solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop plans for sourcing labor to assemble field warehouse racking and equipment.
  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable all direct reports.
  • Design field warehouse layouts and oversee their implementation.
  • Develop and implement standardized procedures for all field warehouse operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotes, purchases, invoices, projects, field requests, and team initiatives.
  • Analyze distribution processes and recommend network enhancements.
  • Support and manage third-party logistics (3PL) relationships.
  • Provide the Distribution Manager with timely updates that may impact daily fulfillment operations.
  • Analyze data and project scenarios to provide recommendations, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI evaluations.
  • Oversee the field equipment preventative maintenance program and invoice tracking.

Required Education & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience

  • 5+ years in general supply chain operations.
  • Additional experience required when no degree is held.
  • 7+ years working in warehouse/distribution operations.
  • 7+ years working with third-party logistics (3PL) operations.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong understanding of supply chain KPIs, with the ability to drive efficiency through analysis and waste reduction.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and accountable mindset.
  • Detail-focused with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications

  • Experience with NetSuite ERP & WMS.
  • Knowledge of warehouse design practices and warehouse design software.
  • Six Sigma training.
  • ASCM certifications (CLTD, CSCP).

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10% travel within the US and/or Canada.

Overtime / Additional Hours Requirements

  • Additional and non-standard hours may be required (exempt role).
  • Early morning and evening hours may be necessary.
