Estimator - Commercial Roofing

Grizzly Roofing is a leader in high-quality commercial roofing solutions, committed to excellence, safety, and long-term value for our clients. We are growing and seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team.

The Commercial Roofing Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing project scopes, preparing detailed estimates, and supporting the sales and production teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, attention to detail, and expertise with modern estimating software.

Duties

• Review project plans, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects.
• Measure roofs using digital takeoff tools and software.
• Prepare detailed material, labor, and time estimates for various roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Metal, etc.).
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and verify material and scope details.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and field leadership to ensure clarity and accuracy of estimates.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and update bid tracking systems.
• Provide value-engineering options and recommendations when appropriate.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience estimating commercial roofing projects
• Proficiency in estimating using The Edge
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation methods, and building codes.
• Experience with Bluebeam, RoofCAD, or similar tools.
• Excellent math, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
