Quality Assurance Manager - Manufacturing
to lead their quality function across the organization. This is a strategic and highly visible role responsible for building, overseeing, and optimizing total quality operations—including people, programs, systems, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the
entire quality and reliability function
across the company - Design, implement, and continuously improve the
quality assurance and reliability program - Develop and issue
formal product and process specifications - Work cross-functionally with
management, engineering, production, and customer teams
to align quality goals with business and technical requirements - Plan, schedule, and direct quality assurance efforts in line with
customer requirements
and
production timelines - Analyze quality data and audit program results to drive corrective actions and improvements
- Maintain an
effective Material Review Board (MRB)
and disposition process - Review and analyze
returned defective equipment
, report findings, and drive root cause investigations - Serve as
liaison with customers and vendors
on all quality or reliability matters - Develop and manage
vendor quality ratings
, support probability studies, and collaborate with engineering on component selection and application - Oversee
quality cost reporting
and make strategic recommendations for cost reduction - Ensure
all customer P.O. requirements
are flowed down to suppliers and fully enforced
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in
quality assurance, reliability engineering, or related disciplines - Strong background in
aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing environments - Expertise in
quality systems, compliance, and auditing - Skilled in
cross-functional leadership
, customer interfacing, and technical guidance - Experience with
vendor qualification
,
failure analysis
, and
specification enforcement - Ability to analyze data, write clear reports, and drive quality improvements
- Familiarity with
ISO, AS9100, MIL-STD, and other relevant standards
a plus
