Housekeeping Supervisor

Summary:

Responsible for assisting with the day to day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Housekeeping department. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or employee challenges.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned
• Daily inspection of all assigned rooms and updating the front desk.
• Proper handling of guest request items on assigned floors.
• Daily inventory of linen closets for linen, amenities, chemicals and lost and found items.
• Ensure cleanliness and appearance of vending machine areas and guest elevator areas on assigned floors.
• Ensure cleanliness and appearance of assigned floor linen closets and service landings on a daily basis.
• Ensure cleanliness of fire escapes connecting the floors to other floors.
• Report maintenance problems to engineering on proper forms as well as coordination of special projects.
• Report damage or theft or room items to the Executive Housekeeper and Hotel Manager.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members
• Performs other duties as assigned
