BARTENDER
Position Summary: The Bartender supports daily beverage service by preparing and serving drinks, assisting guests at the bar, and maintaining clean, organized workstations. This position helps ensure that bar and dining areas are properly stocked and that members and guests receive warm, friendly, and efficient service. The role contributes to the overall flow of the dining experience by supporting beverage preparation and assisting service staff during busy periods.
Status: Seasonal, Full-time, Non-exempt
Responsibility: High level of supervision needed. Low level of operational decision making.

- Basic Administrative Skills - Use of technology, verbal and written communication, business correspondence, organization, time management.

- Excellent Food Service Skills - food presentation, service etiquette, knowledge of food and beverage service standards, positive attitude, knowledge of menu components, food, beverage, and wine.
- Basic Safety Skills - Observe safety rules, safely operate equipment, food safety consciousness, CPR and First Aid.
- Experience - At least 3 months experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.
Effort: Medium – Walk and stand for extended periods of time. Bend, reach, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work Conditions: Level 3 – Half of the work is performed indoors, half outdoors, half of the work is performed in an air-conditioned environment, variable schedule based on business demands, some duties require working with hazards.
Duties:
- Greets members and guests at the bar and provides friendly, attentive service.
- Takes food and beverage orders and enters them accurately into the POS system.
- Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guidelines.
- Delivers meals, beverages, and service items in a timely and professional manner.
- Sets, clears, and resets the bar dining area according to Club standards.
- Restocks bar areas with beverages, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
- Maintains clean, organized bar stations by wiping surfaces, washing tools, and organizing supplies.
- Supports servers by preparing drinks for dining room orders in a timely manner.
- Assists with routine opening and closing duties assigned by supervisors.
- Responds to basic member and guest inquiries, escalating concerns as needed.
- Helps ensure accurate posting of items into the POS system.
- Monitors bar conditions and reports any issues to supervisors.
- Follows all Club safety standards and alcohol service policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
