The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and individualized care. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving techniques tailored specifically for infants. The Infant Lead Teacher will play a vital role in guiding both children and assistant staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience that promotes growth, learning, and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of infants.
  • Provide attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring safety at all times.
  • Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment following health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan daily routines that support individual needs and group dynamics.
  • Use positive behavior management strategies to encourage appropriate social interactions among children.

Experience

  • Demonstrated classroom management skills in early childhood environments.
  • Experience caring for infants, including knowledge of infant care best practices such as feeding schedules and developmental activities.
  • Background in childhood development theories and practices is highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are preferred; ongoing training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving infants can be beneficial.
