Job Summary
We are a patient-centered center practice that is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting in endodontic procedures. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, imaging techniques, and electronic health record systems to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentist with endodontic procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies in accordance with aseptic techniques.
  • Take dental X-rays and cone beam imaging.
  • Record patient vital signs and medical history accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Educate patients on proposed treatment and post-treatment instructions.
  • Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization and handling of instruments.
  • Manage medical documentation and records efficiently.
  • Support administrative managing patient flow when needed.

Skills

  • Experience with dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. This position is integral to delivering endodontic dental care while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
