Restaurant Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair all hot and cold side restaurant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Carry out repairs related to building, HVAC-R, cooking equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
• Use a mobile application to manage and complete work order requests.
• Respond promptly in emergency situations.
• Maintain inventory of repair tools and supplies.
• Perform all maintenance tasks safely, following industry-standard procedures.
• Assist with other equipment repair and maintenance projects as assigned.
• Build and manage relationships with third-party vendors.
• Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of outsourcing specific job orders.

Required Skills:

• Proven proficiency in HVAC-R systems, cooking equipment, and small appliance repair.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
• Ability to assess situations and determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced.
• Strong prioritization, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capable of following established routines and processes.
• Must be available for emergency calls.

Qualifications:

• EPA certification required.
• Completion of an HVAC & Refrigeration Certification program preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience using trade tools (e.g., electrical meter, refrigeration gauges).
• 2–3 years of experience with commercial cooking equipment.
• Experience operating both small and large maintenance equipment.
• Most work will be performed in the restaurant and surrounding property.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Experience:

• Facilities maintenance: 2–3 years (Required)
• HVAC: 2–3 years (Required)
• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
• HVAC/R: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• EPA Certification (Required)
• HVAC Certification (Preferred)
