Position Summary:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA):
- Contributes to and carries out program planning and treatment of assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Provides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students.
- Participates in the enhancement of the profession, the facility, and oneself by providing quality care, clinical research, and education.
- Maintains a standard of practice that includes responsibility for fiscal realities and supports patients to meet their maximum potential.
Education:
- Completion of an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited academic program.
Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:
- Current state licensure and certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
- AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required (annual certification must be current).
Experience:
- 1 year of previous experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
- Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program.
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 24.51/hour - Maximum 40.51/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
