Verterra Energy is looking for a smart, highly organized, detail oriented person who takes pride in a clean, well run workspace and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done. This role owns the day-to-day care and coordination of our New Brighton facility, vendors, and equipment, and keeps our operations organized behind the scenes.
You will be the go-to person for keeping the building, shop, and common areas looking sharp and running smoothly, while also managing the paperwork, lists, and schedules that make everything work.
What you will do:
- Keep the facility organized, tidy, and presentable, including light touch-up work like painting scuffed doors, organizing storage areas, and maintaining common spaces
- Coordinate facility vendors, including cleared vs one-time vendors, and maintain accurate vendor lists and contact information
- Manage and update inventories for equipment, tools, and machines, including tracking what we have, where it is, and its condition
- Track and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and annual service for machines and key equipment, and follow up to ensure completion
- Support safety and access control processes, including badges, visitor sign-in procedures, and cleared vendor records
- Help with small facility projects and improvements, working with internal teams and outside vendors as needed
- Own simple administrative tasks tied to the facility and operations, such as logging work completed, keeping checklists current, and updating shared documents
- Walk the floor regularly to spot issues early and proactively take care of them rather than waiting for someone to complain
What we are looking for:
- Exceptionally organized and detail oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Naturally tidy and structured - you notice when things are out of place and it bothers you enough to fix it
- Comfortable doing both hands-on tasks (painting, light patch/cleanup, organizing physical spaces) and desk work (lists, spreadsheets, calendars, vendor records)
- Strong communicator who can work with engineers, leadership, and outside vendors in a clear, professional way
- Able to manage multiple small tasks and projects at once without letting details slip
- Proactive, self-directed, and willing to jump in wherever needed rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Prior experience in facilities, operations, office management, or a similar "get stuff done" role is a plus but not required if you can demonstrate the mindset and skills
This is an in-person role at our New Brighton facility and is a good fit for someone who wants to be an integral part of a growing hardware and engineering company, sees problems before others do, and likes leaving things better than they found them.
