Dietary Aide

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in an assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with food service, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing quality care and support to residents while working in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables after meals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of food items.
• Support cooks and other kitchen staff in various tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth operation of the dietary department.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
• Engage with residents during meal times to ensure their satisfaction and comfort.
• Participate in training sessions related to food preparation, safety, and service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dietary department or food service role is preferred,
• Understanding of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others, particularly elderly residents.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail in all tasks.
