Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care, including inpatient treatment services, adolescents and adults, partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. We are now seeking a Unit Registered Nurse to join our team This is a day shift opening 7a-7p

The Registered Nurse, is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the Adolescent/Children Units. The Registered Nurse, is in charge of the unit activities for each shift, including supervision of the Mental Health Technicians on the unit.

Registered Nurse Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management.
• Provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient's response to treatment
• Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements:

• Willingness to work with children/adolescents age 5-17
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing;
• Prefer one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse. Prefer six (6) months in psychiatric nursing;
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida;
• Current CPR Certification required;
• Hours: Day Shift: 7am - 7pm (Rotating Weekends Required)
