Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to oversee and implement educational programs within our early childhood settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, expertise in curriculum development, and a passion for fostering developmental growth in children with diverse needs. This role involves leading classroom activities, collaborating with support staff, and ensuring an inclusive, engaging learning environment for all children.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with educational standards and individual childs needs.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, creating a positive and safe learning environment.
- Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and literacy education.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavior reports, and communication with parents or guardians regarding child welfare and developmental milestones.
- Lead activities that promote physical education, social-emotional development, and overall childhood development.
- Supervise assistant teachers or aides, providing mentorship and guidance in classroom management and lesson planning.
- Ensure compliance with educational policies, health & safety standards, including child welfare regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience, at least 2 years experience, working with children in early childhood education, preschool settings, or special education environments.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with expertise in behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of curriculum development across various domains such as literacy education, math, and physical education.
- Ability to utilize learning technology effectively to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and specialists.
- Background in childhood development theories and practices; experience working within daycare or private school settings is preferred.
- Certifications or training in behavioral health, behavioral therapy techniques, or special education are advantageous. We welcome passionate educators committed to making a difference in the lives of children through innovative teaching strategies and compassionate care.

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour
