AM Line Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated AM Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our vibrant TexMex restaurant located in North Dallas. This role is essential in ensuring the timely preparation of high-quality dishes that meet our culinary standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, a strong understanding of food safety, and experience working in fast-paced kitchen environments. Duties

• Prepare and assemble menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing as needed
• Handle food prep tasks including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
• Cook dishes with attention to quality, consistency, and safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Support catering orders and special event preparations when required
• Ensure timely service during peak hours by efficiently managing prep and cooking tasks
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant kitchen preferred
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
• Proficiency in knife skills, meal preparation, and food handling
• Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Culinary experience or formal kitchen training is a plus
• Knowledge of dietary considerations and food industry regulations is desirable
