Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Residential Program Supervisor to oversee daily clinical and operational functions within our Men's Residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, direct experience in addiction and behavioral health services, and a commitment to trauma-informed, resident-centered care. This role includes supervising multidisciplinary care teams, ensuring high-quality treatment services, supporting program structure, and maintaining compliance with state and federal standards. The Residential Program Supervisor plays a vital role in fostering a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment for men navigating long-term healing and rehabilitation.
Duties
- Provide direct supervision and coordination of residential staff to ensure ethical, effective, and recovery-aligned care
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment and recovery plans, including relapse-prevention and behavioral health support
- Oversee medication management processes, including MAT/medication-assisted treatment protocols, controlled substance handling, and safety standards
- Manage daily program operations, including staffing models, scheduling, facility resources, and census management
- Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development focused on SUD best practices, motivational interviewing, crisis response, de-escalation, and documentation standards
- Collaborate with clinical providers, peer recovery specialists, case managers, probation/parole (when applicable), families, and community partners to support resident success
- Ensure adherence to all licensing requirements, CARF/ASAM standards (if applicable), and state/federal regulations governing SUD residential treatment
- Monitor resident progress, acuity levels, and program engagement, adjusting support strategies and team assignments as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EHR, incident logs, medication records, and supervision notes
- Respond to clinical and operational concerns, including behavioral escalations, safety incidents, grievances, and after-hours crisis coordination
Skills
- Extensive experience working in SUD residential treatment, behavioral health, corrections-adjacent treatment programs, or community addiction services
- Proven supervisory or program leadership experience in a licensed SUD treatment environment
- Strong knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, relapse prevention, co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, harm-reduction approaches, and recovery support models
- Ability to guide and oversee structured treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and behavioral support strategies
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and maintain accountability within residential care teams
- Solid operational management abilities, including staffing allocation, program performance tracking, and compliance monitoring
