Duties

  • Assist the Store Manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing sales environment.
  • Oversee customer service interactions to ensure positive experiences, resolve issues promptly, and promote customer loyalty.
  • Manage merchandising efforts by organizing stock displays, implementing pricing strategies, and ensuring product availability aligns with sales goals.
  • Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates, onboarding new employees, and facilitating employee orientation programs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control through regular stock counts, ordering supplies via purchasing procedures, and managing stock replenishment.
  • Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales reporting, and cash register operations while ensuring compliance with cash handling policies.
  • Assist with scheduling shifts to optimize coverage during peak hours and manage team productivity using effective time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory or assistant management experience within retail environments or grocery stores.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in retail math, budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management.
  • Experience with POS systems, merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and retail sales management.
  • Skilled in customer service excellence with phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not required.
  • Capable of multitasking effectively while maintaining organizational skills and attention to detail. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.39 per hour
