Memory Care Activities Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Activities Assistant / Housekeeping to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to residents with memory impairments. This role involves engaging residents through meaningful activities, assisting with daily living tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or long-term care, with a strong focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to residents' cognitive and physical abilities, including event planning and recreational therapy.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, fostering social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas through housekeeping duties, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
• Assist with home & community care tasks as needed, promoting independence and well-being among residents.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, senior care, or memory care best practices is highly desirable.
• Experience in event planning or recreational therapy is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and manage schedules efficiently.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caregiving for seniors or individuals with disabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while maintaining professionalism and patience.
