GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises computer systems, including servers, storage hardware, and software, as well as cloud-based computing and storage infrastructure. This includes security, backups, patching, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting/maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of company intranets, computer systems, and cloud infrastructure.
2. Continuously monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operations.
3. Install and upgrade software and hardware, ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
4. Implement and manage data backup solutions to protect against data loss and ensure recovery in case of system failures.
5. Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, policies, and procedures.
7. Work with IT and Banking Systems teams and vendors to plan and implement software and hardware upgrades and new technologies.
8. Act as a backup to Network Administration staff when required, cross training as necessary.
9. Provide Tier 3 user support for Information Technology issues related, but not limited to:
• Laptop and desktop computers
• Network equipment
• Server hardware and software
• Voice-over-IP telephony system
• Other hardware/peripherals
• Microsoft 365
• Miscellaneous applications
10. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as computer system, networking, etc., equivalent to a four-year college degree.
EXPERIENCE GENERAL
5 years' related experience and/or training.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must provide Farmers Advantage Customer Service to internal customers/co-workers.
