About The Role

As an Associate IT Software Engineer at Ford, you will play a vital role in developing and enhancing Ford Reservation Services to deliver a seamless digital experience for vehicle service appointments. You will collaborate with a talented team of software engineers to build innovative features, solve complex problems, and support the launch of customer-centric functionalities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values agility, continuous feedback, and learning. You will be involved in creating scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions, leveraging modern development practices and tools. Your contributions will directly impact the automotive service experience for Ford customers worldwide, helping to revolutionize automotive service management and digital engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience combined with education
• 3+ years of experience practicing clean code principles such as TDD, self-documenting code, and continuous refactoring
• 2+ years of proficiency in front-end languages including JavaScript and Typescript
• Familiarity with additional languages such as Java
• 2+ years of experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or
• 2+ years of practical experience with backend frameworks such as , GoLang API development, or Spring Boot
• Enthusiasm for AI-driven coding tools like GitHub Co-Pilot, Cursor AI, or Windsurf
• Strong understanding of full-stack architecture principles
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, or GitHub Actions
• Experience with public cloud providers like GCP, AWS, or Azure

Responsibilities

• Develop and iteratively enhance Ford Reservation Services within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Create new features based on user interviews, feedback, and evolving customer needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers
• Implement scalable and maintainable code following best practices and clean code principles
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Maintain a strong focus on user experience, accessibility standards, and performance optimization
• Leverage AI-driven tools to improve coding efficiency and innovation
• Contribute to fostering a positive team culture, norms, and practices that promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Support the integration of cloud services and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows
