Orchards Feed Ace Hardware, Clark County's oldest locally owned, premier feed, farm, and hardware store has an opening for a part time Warehouse Associate position. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Associate responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Greet and assist customers with amazing customer service.
• Load bulk products into customer vehicles.
• Receive all products for the store, inspecting for shortages, overages, damage, and quality.
• Examine contents and compares with records, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Report any receiving discrepancies to Managers and Buyer(s) to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Keep careful records of packing slips and invoices.
• Refill propane tanks.
• Work closely with the inventory manager to arrange shipping and delivery of materials.
• Deliver or route products to appropriate departments or storage areas (Sort & Segregate).
• Attending all applicable training and be able to use (or be certified in use of) appropriate equipment needed for store or warehouse (including forklifts, pallet jacks, baler, rolling ladders, etc.).
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with drivers, vendors, customers, and fellow employees.
• Follow Orchards Feed Ace Hardware standards as they pertain to product receiving best practices.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Other related duties as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years prior receiving experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to work independently yet have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other team members and store leadership.
• Knowledgeably communicate with service vendors.
• Ability to understand proper retail receiving.
• Ability to be self motivated
• Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift. (We will assist in the certification process)
• Ability to be self motivated and complete delegated tasks.
• Ability to remain busy and productive throughout the entire work shift.

NOT REQUIRED, BUT NICE TO HAVE:

• Feed industry work experience.
• Forklift Certification
• Propane filling certification
• Hardware Store work experience (Especially Ace Hardware)
• Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food, pet supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, paint, lawn & garden, nursery, and birding
• Experience with Epicor
• Ability to navigate basic computer programs.
• Bilingual (Spanish, Russian highly valued)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
• Ability to regularly move and handle merchandise up to 50 pounds, and fixtures throughout the warehouse and property, which entails lifting and performing all functions as set forth.
• Ability to lift Hay bales up to 100lbs (with accommodation as needed).
• Ability to wear a headset for the duration of work shifts.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift (we provide training)
• Ability to work in open air warehouse facility.

HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:

• This is a part-time position.
• Work week is Sunday through Saturday.
• Store Hours are Mon-Sat 8AM to 7PM & Sun 9AM to 6PM

SALARY / WAGE

$16.50 to $18.00 DOE
